This terms adult education courses are coming to the end. We had three courses running between 10:10 & 10:55am on Sunday mornings. It can be a bit tight running from the end of the 9am service, into a classroom, teaching a class and then getting back into church ready for the 11am service.
Our offerings this term have been: A Short History of Christianity (taught by Kitty); Parental Guidance Required (a video discussion run by Paul and me) and Going Deeper Into The Lectionary (studying the passages which we preached on that morning – whoever is preaching runs this class). Of course Jason runs a youth sunday school and we have 6 teachers running childrens sunday school – so its a busy morning all round.
Our new term, beginning after Easter, will see the Lectionary class continue, a course on Questioning Evangelism (not should we evangelize but how – how to use questions to open up opportunity to speak the gospel – that will be run by me and Paul) and finally a video discussion class on the Case For Faith – dealing with doubts and how to answer some of the toughest questions regarding Christianity.
Should be a lot of fun, learning and growing!!
